vermont wedding venue barn at
smugglers notch
Jeffersonville, VT

I did one of the first weddings at the Barn at Smugglers Notch, when they started hosting weddings in 2016. Since then, we have done over a dozen weddings there. The first thing you notice is the amazing view! The ceremony site is perfect! With almost 360 degree mountain views, the location is one of the most stunning panoramic vistas in Vermont and New England. The Barn has plenty of windows to take full advantage of the unobstructed views of Vermont's tallest mountain, Mt. Mansfield, Smugglers' Notch and the peaks of the Green Mountains. It is the perfect spot for selfies and amazing photographs! There is not a ton of shade there, so I adjust accordingly. I have special tricks I use on sunny days.

The barn itself is equally amazing! Owners Steve and Jennifer have built one of the areas premiere wedding venues in Vermont and New England. It is located on 77 acres on Stebbins Road in Jeffersonville, Vermont. The owner Steve, is also a photographer, and he helped design the barn with photography in mind. The light interior is great for indoor images that are bright and crisp. Your guests will love the modern amenities, and the heated floors. Of course the catering is wonderful! Go rustic with a barbecue, or go elegant! They even make their own wine from the grapes planted on site!

For additional photos, I often take folks off site for some quick romantic images of just the couple. There are lots of neat areas within a few miles. Just down the road is a park with a beautiful river. Plus a covered bridge, and a foot bridge over a smaller river. There is also a wonderful tree lined dirt road that I like to use. Of course time is always limited at weddings, so we do the down and dirty quick version, and get folks back to the party. I am typically done and back to the venue in less then 30 minutes.
