Birds Eye View
My wife Wendy calls it camera on a stick. I don’t know what I call it, but I do like the look! Usually at the wedding reception, I will put my camera on a monopod and hold it above the crowd. I use a wide-angle lens and trip the shutter with a remote cable release. In this photo, I asked our bride and groom Caitlin and Adam to look up. This version has also been digitally altered to darken the background and put more emphasis on the newly happily married couple. This photo was taken at Stratton Mountain Lodge.
