Birds Eye View

I have always loved the look of photographing from a high vantage point. In the first place, it offers something different, as most photos are taking from ground level. Often, visually, it is more interesting to view. I also feel that people react with extra enthusiasm. Maybe it is because it is something they are not used to, or just because it amuses folks. Either way it works. It is also a great vantage point when doing group photos. Here are a few photos using a elevated camera. The first photo was from an engagement portrait thatĀ Ijust recently did. I was shooting out of a window from my barn/studio down at Katlyn and Jason. The second photo was done at The Sunset Ballroom in South Burlington. I was doing formal portraits of the wedding party and was shooting from a second story walkway. The guys in the wedding party were getting playful!
