5 tips for better pictures in the snow!

Vermont is sure beautiful this time of year with all of the snow. Now is the time to break out the camera and get some awesome winter photos. Whether it is people or nature you like to photograph, here are a few tips: 1-Over exposure your photos. All the white snow can interfere with the camera metering properly. I would suggest starting a +2/3rds of an F-stop. 2-Try HDR for nature photos. Many cameras can do this automatically these days. This requires a tripod. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range....

My wife Wendy calls it camera on a stick. I don't know what I call it, but I do like the look! Usually at the wedding reception, I will put my camera on a monopod and hold it above the crowd.
