REAL VERMONT WEDDINGS
A look at some of our favorite Vermont wedding moments through time!
Geoff and Wendy have been photographing Vermont weddings for over 20 years. They have worked with the majority of the Vermont wedding venues and vendors and continue to shine as one of the most loved and trusted Vermont wedding photography duo’s in the area.
EVE AND ERIC
Married at All Souls Interfaith Gathering
I had the privilege of photographing Eve and Eric’s wedding at All Souls Interfaith Gathering Chapel in Shelburne, Vermont. Previously, I had done weddings for Eve’s sister and brother. Three times is a charm! Nice to see the family again! The weather was cloudy, but there was a very soft glow coming through the clouds, as the sun tried to peek through. It gave a mystical look to many of the backgrounds, as we over looked Lake Champlain. My wife and I arranged a first look, and them brought them down to the waterfront for formals. The lighting was warm and intense, and very dramatic. We got most of the posed images done before the rain kicked in. That moved the ceremony inside the chapel. After a quick, short and sweet ceremony, they kissed and away they went. We had most of the posed stuff done, so they just joined the party. Did see some pretty good dance moves at this bash, and I got right in with the crowd, which is always fun! The night ended with a sparkler send-off, and buses to bring folks back into Burlington. Enjoy!
KATELYN AND JOHN
Married at the Inn at Grace Farm
Katelyn and John got married at the Inn at Grace Farm in Fairfax, Vermont. We had planned to do most of the photos before the wedding ceremony, but the rain kept us scrambling back indoors. A quick online check of the weather showed that the sun was on the way. So finally the wedding processional started just as the sun came out, but 30 minutes late. The wedding ceremony was beautiful and baby Julian looked on! Afterwards, I had to go into serious photo over-drive to get the day back on schedule. I would have liked to spend more time for some intimate photos with the newlyweds, but dinner was done, and the crowd was ready! All in all it worked out perfectly, but once again Mother Nature was in control of this Vermont wedding!
BEKAH AND JUSTIN
Married at the Skinner Barn
Bekah and Justin got married at the Skinner Barn in Waitsfield, Vermont last June. This a peek at the album that I designed for our newlyweds. My wife Wendy and I were the photographers. The weather was perfect that day! A bit cloudy, but that allowed for nice lighting, which is always great for outdoor wedding photos in Vermont! The rain held off until we did the very last series of outdoor photos in front of the barn. Another great day and fantastic couple!
STEPHANIE AND DANIEL
Married at the Mountain Top Inn
Stephanie and Daniel were married at Mountain Top Inn in Chittenden, Vermont. Photography was provided by Geoff and Jay. Videography was also provided by Portrait Gallery.
These love birds met on Spring break in Fort Lauderdale in April 2014 and got engaged in January of 2017 in Salzburg Austria on a bridge covered in love lockets in the middle of a snow storm. Talk about a real life fairytail!
TORI AND JOSHUA
Married at the Barn at Boyden Farm
Tori and Joshua got married at the Barn At Boyden Farm on a beautiful sunny day. What a great spot for a wedding! It is located in Cambridge, Vermont, and has a beautiful view of the mountains and their very own cornfield, and of course that great barn! Not much shade there, so that was an issue, as full sun can be harsh. That is standard fair so easy to deal with. These two love birds get ready nearby at Smugglers Notch Resort. They had a special place all picked out for a First Look. So we jumped into some golf carts and were off. Great weather, nice people, and a rather insane and crazed dance party to follow. Stay home and enjoy!
