August in Vermont has a way of showing off — and Lindsey and Nicholas’ wedding day at Killington Peak Lodge was no exception.
From the moment we arrived at the base of Killington, there was an energy in the air. Guests boarded the gondola, climbing higher and higher until the Green Mountains stretched endlessly in every direction. At the summit, Killington Peak Lodge delivered the most breathtaking backdrop you could ask for — sweeping views, crisp mountain air, and sunshine that felt like it was ordered just for them.
Lindsey was radiant. Her dress moved effortlessly in the mountain breeze, and every time Nicholas looked at her, his expression said it all. As a wedding photographer, those are the moments we live for — the in-between glances, the quiet squeezes of the hand, the deep breath right before “I do.”
Their ceremony overlooking the peaks was emotional and intimate, with the mountains standing tall as witnesses. One of my favorite moments was right after they were pronounced husband and wife — the joy, the cheers, and the way they held onto each other like they didn’t want the moment to end.
Portrait time at the summit was pure magic. The light was soft, golden, and endlessly flattering against the landscape. Lindsey and Nicholas were completely present with one another, which made my job easy. When couples trust the moment and lean into the experience, the images become timeless.
As the sun began to dip, the celebration inside the lodge kicked into full swing — heartfelt toasts, a packed dance floor, and that unmistakable feeling of a day that was both epic and deeply personal.
Lindsey and Nicholas’ Killington Peak Lodge wedding was a perfect blend of mountaintop grandeur and genuine connection — a day we at The Portrait Gallery were honored to capture.
