There’s something especially magical about a Vermont summer wedding, and Bev & John’s July celebration at The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch was the perfect reminder of why we love photographing weddings in the Green Mountains so much. Surrounded by rolling hills, wildflowers, and sweeping mountain views, their day felt effortlessly joyful from beginning to end.
Nestled at the base of Mount Mansfield, The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch is known for its stunning scenery, natural light, and modern rustic charm. The venue’s open landscape and mountain backdrop created the perfect setting for a relaxed summer celebration filled with family, friends, and plenty of laughter.
Bev and John brought such an easygoing energy to the day. From quiet moments getting ready to emotional exchanges during the ceremony, every part of the wedding felt genuine and deeply personal. One of our favorite parts of the day was sneaking away with the couple during golden hour as the Vermont mountains lit up behind them. July sunsets at The Barn always seem to deliver something special, and this evening was no exception.
The reception inside the barn was equally beautiful, blending elegant details with the warm, inviting atmosphere the venue is known for. Guests enjoyed an evening full of heartfelt toasts, dancing, and celebration as the summer evening settled over the mountains.
Weddings like Bev & John’s are exactly why we love documenting love stories in Vermont. The combination of breathtaking scenery, meaningful moments, and couples who truly enjoy being present with one another always creates something unforgettable.
Bev & John — thank you for allowing us to be part of such a beautiful day. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and mountain sunsets together.
