What are The Knot Best Of awards all about? Every year brides review services from vendors that they found on theknot.com website. Vendors that have 10 or more 5-star reviews are considered for the award. We just won again in 2018, so that makes 6 years in a row. For 2017 we had 21 reviews total. All were 5-star!
Do we meet with our photographer prior to the wedding? Our preference is always to meet with you shortly before the big day! If that is not possible, then a phone call is next in line.
What is the retainer needed to hold a date? The typical retainer is 25% to hold the date, followed by a second retainer 3 months later. Then the final balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding. Other arrangements are possible.

Can you tell me your style? This is a hard question to answer! The best way to answer that is for you to view a few full weddings. Not just a handful of images, but every image. That gives a real world view of an entire day. Usually I can guide folks along this path based on our availability. I have many full weddings that you can view! To answer that question simply, let me suggest that being nice is the first best quality for a wedding photographer. Next, treat every client like Royalty! Guests get that same respect! Be observant and respectful of candid moments, and stay out of the way. We will always use natural light if possible. About 80% of the day is photographed candidly, seeing, but not interfering. However, when it comes time for posed images, we take charge. Then we happily pose folks and usually work from a list that you provide when we meet prior to the wedding. We try to offer a fun-filled happy time that you can share with your guests.
Do you have multiple photographers? Yes we can do 5 weddings each day. Our 3 master photographers Geoff, Jay, and Thom all have 700+ weddings photographed. Also, Wendy, Lee and Mitch each have over 200 weddings photographed.
Does each photographer have a portfolio? Yes we have separate portfolios for all photographers. Please ask for specifics.
Do we get all of the high resolution images to keep? Yes!
