It is magic time!

I am blown away by the image quality of this series of photos from Elizabeth and Casey's wedding on Saturday. They had their reception at the Barn at Kingston Place, in Benson, Vermont. This was taken with my amazing Sigma 135 ART lens. What impresses is the awesome optical quality, considering it was done in a dark barn with no flash. The first dance is always my favorite part of each wedding day! It is so real! This series is one of my all time favorite! I recently switched...

Kendra and Nathan at the Isham Family Farm

Wendy and I had a nice relaxing time with Kendra and Nathan at the Isham Family Farm in Hinesburg, Vermont! Sure we were working, but the wedding was fun and casual. The weather was perfect, for their perfect Vermont country wedding! Love the cowboy hat and boots! Kendra arrived on a tractor pulled hay-wagon. The wedding was on a low hill overlooking the valley and the farm below. The above photo was taken in the wedding barn. I hope you like them.

Carla and Kyle + Eli at the Lilac Inn

What a glorious day I had with Carla and Kyle, and of course their son Eli! The light was perfect, and the grounds at the Lilac Inn in Brandon, Vermont are always amazing! I have done a handful of weddings there over the years, and it is always a pleasure to walk the grounds. Everywhere you look there are hidden gardens and paths to wander.

I am obsessed with the image quality from this wedding. So vibrant! Love the soft dreamy backgrounds! I did most of the wedding with a 135mm lens mounted on a tripod, and used a 50mm for my second camera. I like to use a tripod for rock solid perfect images.

Have you seen the light?

I have! I bought this amazing new lens that has transformed my photography. Namely my Sigma 135mm Art lens. The light I am seeing is the amazing skin tones and sharpness that this lens offers. No more zooms for me. For weddings and portraits, it is now my go to optic. I also have the equally amazing Sigma 50mm Art lens. The combination is stunning. Better then any zoom, in all ways! But they say the eye is in the beholder, so behold some of these taken in the last month or so:
