Photo Display

I would like to thank the good folks at the Spirit of Ethan Allen III cruise ship, for selecting the Portrait Gallery to be the exclusive photographer displaying photos during their sales presentations to potential brides and grooms. Thank You for that honor!  We love doing what we do, and we especially love great feedback and recognition coming from our clients and their entourage, and also from other wedding vendors. I picked some of my favorite images from recent weddings on the cruise ship to go on display. Not an easy task...

12-12-12

Are you getting married on 12-12-12? Seems like a pretty cool date. Too bad it is on a Wednesday! Just for fun, I have decided to offer a 12% discount on any weddings that take place on 12-12-12. Even better, a 24% discount on our famous two photographer coverage. May I suggest a wedding party with 12 people in it!...

Photo Thank You Cards

Why not bring a few Thank You signs to your wedding. They make for great photos, and even better for a Photo Thank You card. This photo is of Kristin and Gary, who were married on 11-11-11. My wife Wendy did a bit of color tinting on this image, that was taken in Battery Park in Burlington. Photo Thank You cards are included with our wedding packages. ...

If you Google "wearable cams", it is amazing what is out there; head cams, ear cams, glasses cams, underwater cams, even remote controlled hover cams-neat stuff. All potential new ideas and offerings when it comes to video in general, and more specifically to my business in the...

Color or Black and White. Which is better?

I am still playing around with my new infrared camera. I am not really sure that it is really doing what I hoped it would do, but it is still cool. I think I like the regular black and white infrared better, but then again, it still can be fun to try. I only use it for a few photos at each wedding, but it is nice and small, so I do not mind bringing it along! Below are two infrared photos, one from the color camera, and...

Bobcats

Wendy and I saw three Bobcats in our yard yesterday. We have seen one before, but never three at once. It looked like a mother and perhaps two fairly large young. What beautiful creatures!! Unfortunately, we were in the house, and our cameras were in the studio, so we did not get a picture of them. But I am going to leave a camera in the house with a big telephoto lens on it, so if they come back we might be able to photograph them. Stay tuned!...
